About me

I was 18 when I first fell for fitness.  My college roommate asked me to do a workout tape with her and I thought I was going to die!  What was this painful insanity she was putting me through? :-)  So of course, I did it again the next day.  Something clicked inside me and I knew this was the beginning of a different direction in my life.  In no time I was feeling awesome, working out 6 days a week, and taking exercise courses at school.

I began training clients in 1999.  I realized early on that I wanted to share my knowledge with others so they could better themselves.  I have used many methods of training over the years, but have found the greatest benefit and enjoyment through HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) workouts.  Jumping rope, TRX, Kettlebells, dumbbells all find their way into my classes.  There is always a warm-up and cool-down stretch.  I believe our bodies feel and look younger when they are flexible.  Maintaining a full range of motion and staying limber is just as important as burning calories.

An integral part of my classes, and the one closest to my heart, is the donation aspect.  I believe in giving back in whatever way we can.  My way is to give clients a discounted rate on class whenever they bring me a food donation for our local pantry.  My clients have been incredibly generous.

So come join this wonderful community of giving people who are getting in shape, getting healthy, and having fun doing it.  I can't wait to meet you!
